New Presentation Trailer Wreaks Of New-Gen Sweetness

In a word, the new presentation enhancements for FIFA 23 look amazing. Since the new generation of consoles were released, we have been waiting to see the massive leap in visuals from the most popular sports gaming franchises.

There is a ton highlighted in this trailer that focuses on MatchDay Experience:

We aren’t going to see the sort of contrast we saw when gaming moved from the PS3 and Xbox One to PS4 and Xbox One X. That leap was unlike anything we have ever seen in console gaming. The NBA 2K14 trailer probably sold a couple million consoles on its own.

The FIFA 23 trailer isn’t quite as breathtaking as that gem from 2K’s Momentous, but in the proper perspective, it registers as a respectable flex for the new-gen consoles and EA’s football franchise.

The grass degradation, specific commentary additions, customizable sound effects to signal goals, and the net physics immediately stand out. We hear executive producer Fab Muoio referencing the team “leveraging the power of the new hardware.” Many other sports video games seem more timid about talking about the differences with the new-gen versions of their games.

Perhaps that’s because a large percentage of the franchise’s fanbase are still playing old-gen. In any case, progressive sports gamers should be excited about the elements of the game on new consoles that show moderate to massive visual improvements.
