PS Plus July Games Include FF7 Intergrade & 5 Assassin’s Creed Titles

July’s line-up of new game additions for the recently revamped PS Plus includes Final Fantasy VII Remake and five Assassin’s Creed titles.

The July line-up of titles coming to the newly-revamped Playstation Plus includes last year’s Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and no less than five Assassin’s Creed games. Earlier this year, Sony unveiled its plans to revamp its monthly PS Plus subscription service to better compete with the increasingly popular Xbox Games Pass, introducing a new tier-based system and access to classic titles from the older PlayStation console generations – something that longtime PlayStation fans have been wanting for some time due to the PS4 and PS5 lacking true backward compatibility for anything from the PS3 era or earlier.

This newly-revamped PS Plus finally went live last month, with the first round of titles to be included in the relaunch consisting of a mix of contemporary hits like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and older fan-favorites like Siphon Filter. While some have noted that the new PS Plus currently contains fewer available titles than Sony’s discontinued PS Now service – which previously gave subscribers access to a large catalog of titles while PS Plus offered up monthly giveaways of free games alongside online play – Sony has promised to add more games to the updated PS Plus’s collection in the coming months.

The large amount of Assassin’s Creed titles included in this list of new PS Plus offerings comes at an exciting time for fans of the classic history-based action/stealth franchise, as Ubisoft currently has several new Assassin’s Creed projects in development – with news of the next mainline entry set to be revealed in a special Assassin’s Creed livestream later this month. Also, fans of Final Fantasy VII Remake will be able to catch up with the events of Square Enix’s JRPG update with Intergradejust in time for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion‘s release later this year and the launch of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in 2023.

The newly revamped Playstation Plus still has a long way to go before its selection of available games matches the size and scope of Xbox Games Pass, but this month’s initial wave of new additions features a solid variety of different gameplay genres and a mix of promising new releases and already-popular classic titles. PS Plus subscribers will get to access the full July Games Catalog once it goes live on July 19.
