PlayStation Plus Subscribers Are Dealing With A Major Issue

The all-new PlayStation Plus is now available in most parts of the world, and players seem to be having a pretty great time with the overhauled subscription service.

While PS Plus Essential remains as a basic tier for those who were happy with the service as it was, PS Plus Extra and Premium come with their own unique benefits, including access to modern and classic games.

As reported by Eurogamer, PS Plus users attempting to use the PC app are facing two main issues. The first is that many of the PS4, PS2 and original PlayStation games available via PS Plus Premium are being labeled as PS3 games, and seemingly won’t start as a result.

Reddit user Iamafatcupcake documented some of the affected titles, including Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Moralesand all of the classic PlayStation titles.

There’s also the fact that a chunk of the previously announced games for Extra and Premium simply aren’t there. Iamafatcupcake listed more than 100 missing games, including Devil May Cry 4, Fallout 3, God Of War 2 HD, Red Dead Redemption, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivionand many, many more.

These are pretty serious issues that have, understandably, left those banking on using the PS Plus PC app pretty annoyed. While the vast majority of gamers obviously won’t be using the PC app to access the new PS Plus games, it’s disappointing that those using it are facing a suboptimal experience.

At the time of writing Sony has yet to officially address the issue, so there’s no word on when this will be resolved.
