EA Sports hit is coming to Xbox Game Pass

FIFA 22 has been a wildly successful release for EA Sports, as it is every year, and it is now poised to come to the Play List on EA Play next week.

That means that the game will be downloadable on Xbox Game Pass for Ultimate Members, as they receive EA Play access as part of their subscription.

FIFA 22 will hit the Play List on June 23rd.

EA Play currently offers players a 10-hour game trial of the football simulation goal will now be replaced with the full game.

This comes after seasons have finished in all of Europe’s top leagues, and as players prepare for the release of FIFA 23, which is likely to come later this year once the 2022/23 season has begun.

All four of EA’s sports titles for the last year are now included in EA Play, with FIFA, Madden 22, NHL 22 and F1 2021 all set to be downloadable.

As per Video Games Chronicle, EA has begun to test cross-play online multiplayer in FIFA 22, although it is limited to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia players.

FIFA 22 Title Update 10 is set to be released soon

It has not been added to Ultimate Team, either, with the only ways to use crossplay coming in Online Seasons and Online Friendlies.

It remains to be seen if FIFA 23 will also eventually be included on Game Pass but it makes sense that 22 has been added after seasons have finished.

It remains a top seller throughout its lifespan, so giving it away for free at the start of a campaign doesn’t seem to make business sense for EA Sports.

FIFA 23 is likely to include both the men’s and women’s World Cup, and will also be the very last EA Sports football sim featuring the FIFA name. Thereafter, it will become EA Sports FC.
