This week’s PlayStation releases (May 23-27, 2022) – Thumbsticks

Sniper Elite 5 and Roller Champions headline this week’s lineup of new PlayStation releases.

After dropping news of its release date just last week, Roller Champions comes to the PlayStation store on Wednesday. It’s another free-to-play multiplayer game hoping to capitalize on the success of games like Rocket League, Fall Guys and, yes, Fortnite.

Roller Champions is somewhere between roller derby and speed ball, so it’s already looking promising. (And it’s not another terrible Tom Clancy tie-in, which is a wounded relief.)

Speaking of games that look promising, Kao the Kangaroo jumps onto the PlayStation store this week. If you like orange bandicoots and purple dragons – as many PlayStation fans do – then Kao might be right up your street.

Sniper Elite 5 is the other big release hitting the PS4 and PS5 this week, and it’s a game that doesn’t really need an introduction. Expect sneaking, shooting, and scrotums – gratuitous slow-mo replays of exploded gentlemen’s parts, that is.

Also, Pac-Man! You can’t go wrong with Pac-Man.

The PlayStation release schedule can often change at the last minute, so we’ll keep this page updated with any late arrivals.
