Nintendo Appears To Have Improved Switch Online’s N64 Emulation

When Nintendo first launched its Expansion Pack tier for Switch Online, N64 emulation was accused of not matching the original experience.

Since then, Nintendo has released some updates to improve certain games on the Nintendo 64 service, and now the latest one – bumping the service up to Version 2.0.0 and adding The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask – has apparently delivered even more fixes and improvements.

As highlighted by dataminer Oatmeal Domethe fog has now been added back to games like Zelda: Ocarina of Time:

In addition to this, there have also been fixes for some unexpected crashes in other games like Paper Mario. As explained by Twitter user GameBoy256:

“Paper Mario also used to have a bug where if you died with Watt as your partner, it would crash the app, but now the bug has been patched!”

There have even been some additional “unknown” fixes to other games like Banjo-Kazooie and much more, apparently:
