Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 and PC issues being investigated following patch 1.5’s release

CD Projekt Red has said it’s investigating several Cyberpunk 2077 issues that have come to light since the release of the game’s big 1.5 update on Tuesday.

The game’s long-awaited new-gen console versions were released yesterday alongside a significant patch for existing platforms such as last-gen consoles and PC.

CD Projekt is currently investigating an issue stopping some players from launching the disc version of the game on PS4 after applying the patch.

It’s also looking into the game crashing on launch on PC and has provided the following potential workaround.

“The crash is most likely caused by audio software conflict,” it said. “So far we’ve identified this issue with audio drivers such as A-Volute, Nahimic or Sonic Studio.

“Meanwhile, as a temporary solution, we recommend disabling said drivers before launching the game. You can also try following the steps we described in this article.”

Additionally, CD Projekt has said it’s looking into the possibility of introducing PS4/PS5 trophies transfer and raising the FPS cap on Xbox Series S, although it can’t yet confirm whether doing either of these things will be possible.

On Tuesday, CD Projekt also launched a free five-hour trial version of Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, with progress carrying over to the full game should players choose to purchase it.
